Tell us a little about yourself.

I am a real estate entrepreneur who is passionate about helping others achieve their Real Estate goals. My background in decorating and home improvement provided me the opportunity to be a guest on countless home improvement shows on HGTV, Lifetime, and Discovery Channel.

How would you describe the state of Tampa Bay area real estate in 2017?

The inventory is at a 12 year low, so I would characterize it as a seller’s market especially under the $600,000 price point.  In the lower price points, the inventory is so low that multiple offers come in the first day, many over list.

What is one type of flooring desired by Tampa Bay area homeowners and homebuyers?

Wood, and that could come in the form of real wood, engineered wood, laminate, vinyl , or ceramic tile that looks like wood.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give a homeowner looking to sell?

Update as much as you can afford before selling.  Buyers are looking for the house with the shortest amount of upgrades/repairs needed.  The less your house needs to get it up to date, the quicker you will sell for the most money.  Since I am an accredited stager with a background in home improvement, I am often meeting clients and advising them on things they can do months before I put their house on the market.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give a homeowner looking to buy?

If they are willing to do some minor renovation, they will be able to get a much better price since most buyers are not willing or do not have the cash to spend. As long as location, lot, floor plan are desirable, the money will be well worth it.
